Poster abstract submission: April 1, 2015 – November 14, 2015 CLOSED

Notice of acceptance will be sent by E-mail before November 30th for Highlight and Poster tracks.

Authors who want to submit abstracts should read following information for preparing your submission. The fees of registration and abstract submission are free.

submission types

The 9th AYRCOB is soliciting abstracts of new and original research work by young researchers in computational and omics biology or relevant fields.

Abstracts can be submitted as Highlight, Oral or Poster. All submitted abstracts will go through a rigorous peer-review process. If the abstracts are not accepted for the Oral or Highlight tracks, the abstracts will automatically be reviewed as the Poster track and will be accepted when it is eligible.

Highlight Authors are invited to submit an abstract of their recently published work. The paper must have been accepted for publication no earlier than August 1, 2014. The paper or at least a provisional version of it must be available at the journal website. Please provide the web link of your paper in your abstracts.
Oral Submitted abstracts must represent original, previously unpublished research works. Nevertheless, submitted abstracts of partially published works with new findings or works in-progress in relevant emerging research topics are also welcomed.
Poster Submitted abstracts must represent original, previously unpublished research works. Nevertheless, submitted abstracts of partially published works with new findings or works in-progress in relevant emerging research topics are also welcomed.

Format of Abstract

The abstract for Poster track should be one page, and the abstracts for Oral and Highlight tracks should be two pages. The abstract must be in a structured format containing for the four categories:

  1. Introduction
  2. Methods
  3. Results
  4. Discussion

This structure should be strictly kept and failure to do so may lead to rejection.

In addition, providing 3 or 4 keywords are required to facilitate the review process and help the meeting attendants to their interests.

Submission instructions

Please follow the steps below to submit your abstract.

  1. Register for the 9th AYRCOB if you have not registered yet. (Go to registration page)
  2. Download the templates of Highlight, Oral and Poster tracks.
  3. Write an abstract into the template.
  4. Access to EasyChair system.
    1. Create your account for submission (if you don’t have).
    2. Access to the EasyChair submission page.
    3. Fill in the blanks in “Author Information”, “Title and Abstract”, and “Keywords”.
    4. Upload your abstract (.doc or .docx) from “Uploads”.
  5. Check the E-mail sent from the EasyChair system.
  6. Wait for the notice of acceptance.

Review Guidelines

All submitted abstracts will go through a rigorous peer-review process with the following main review criteria:

  1. Relevance of study
  2. Scientific impact, merits
  3. Language quality (grammar, dictions, etc.)

Authors of the selected abstracts will be invited to 9th AYRCOB. Your abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.

The acceptance rates of the past conferences were 20-42%.
